CBSE Examination Date Sheet

Upset Students Want PMO and MHRD to Intervene

The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has finally released the Class X and Class XII examination schedules. As per the schedule, Class X examination will start on March 5 and conclude on April 4. Class XII examinations will be held between March 5 and April 12. Meanwhile, students have expressed their anger over the unscientific scheduling of the examination.

According to the students, Class XII examination schedule is most unscientific. For example, Physical Education examination has been scheduled on April 9 while JEE admission test, which is mandatory for the admissions to the technical institutes, is being held on April 7. In humanities stream, three exams have been scheduled without break between April 5 and 7. As per the examination schedule Psychology examination is being held on April 5, Political Science examination on April 6 and Legal Studies on April 7. Students are using the social media to express their anguish against the unscientific scheduling.

Shreyansh Dhaiya?, a class XII student tweeted that the date sheet of XII class really needs to change. Another student SKM Mishra tweeted that the physics paper date should be revised as there is one day gap between English and physics paper. Moreover, JEE Mains 2018 is on 8th April so physical education exam is on 9th April. It should be changed. Please revise the date sheet.

This anger is not limited only to the Class XII timetable. Students are complaining even about the Class X examination date sheet. Anirudha, a class X student tweeted that class X date-sheet is out. But only one day off for Social Science for those who have not taken Hindi, Sanskrit, French as their second language. We have to read 22 chapters and this is the first time we are writing the whole year's portion.

Meanwhile, CBSE authorities informed that they can't change the date sheet based on the tweets and social media posts. "Most of these tweets and social media posts are tagged to the Prime Minister of India and the Union MHRD minister. But we are not in a position to revise the schedule," explained an officer from CBSE.
